Greetings From Costa Rica
For 14 days we came to play
But, fell in love and want to stay
Led by German, Joan, Roger and Gustavo
To our guiding hands we say, Bravo! Bravo!
Some days were rustic, we had to be tough
When there were bio breaks we got to buy stuff
Thankfully, scenery was idiot-proof
Just raise your camera, point and shoot
Our trek took us east to west, and wet to dry
The best of the lowlands and mountains way high
Daily meals included (hick) national beans and rice
But, the pop-up fruit tasting? That was really nice!
Our various methods of transportation were heeded
Boats, buses, shuttles – even golf carts were needed
Early morning nature walks were educational, ya know?
Local flora and fauna always put on a good show
Sadly, some ailments slowed a few of us down
But with time, TLC and water we all came around
Rodeos, dancers, even monkeys performed
Each day was different, no two of them conformed
We climbed up the volcano and got down on the farm
Suspended over the forest. we came to no harm
With heads in the clouds and feet in the waves
We all took away our pics and our favs
Sharing and caring we pulled through 2 weeks
With the hope we all found what he or she seeks
So, if you feel down and have that tropical need’a
Remember this day and invoke Pura Vida!
